In crowded cities like Tokyo, pregnant women are confronted with many obstacles routinely; such as overly crowded trains and buses at rush hours. After several iterations, we created BabyBumper which air bag function to protect the user from external pressure. Also we implemented bending sensors to record the kicks from the baby and visualize them to share it with family members and doctors.
Resolve the issues of stress that pregnant women are facing inside overly crowded train rides

Here is the concept image of BabyBumper. Over the past few years, digital devices became a part of our fashion. Therefore, in the future we wish to minimize and improve the design to improve the user experience of the pregnant women.
Belly Protector :
When undesirable external pressures are detected, signals from the bending sensors are transmitted to the Arduino. This controls the motor to open the valve of the cylinder filled with CO2.
Baby's Kick Detector :
Tested by the user, we found out that when the pregnancy is in its middle stage, babies move around a lot. At this point, the bending sensors are best be placed as shown in the left image. However, during the final stage, it is better to place the sensors wherever the baby's legs are positioned.
