Tokyo subway gets pretty crazy during rush hours
30 million users use Yahoo! Transit to get around Tokyo subway. Sometimes the train gets so congested that people cannot ride the train.

Solution
Designed a mechanism on how to show congestion levels across different parts of the flow. Yahoo! Japan was the first to release a congestion mapping feature and was well received by many presses including Gizmodo. Our design was also registered by the Registration of UI Designs in Japan.
